Thunderbirds, Stingray, Captain Scarlet and Joe 90
While still on the memory lane, I thought I should also make a note on the Supermarionation TV programs that I watched when I was in elementary school. Comparing to the state-of-the-art video game and virtual reality we have now, it seems quite unimaginable why the puppets of Captain Scarlet and Captain Black kept me on the edge of my seat all the time when watching those TV. I was in constant worry that Captain Scarlet might be killed by Captain Black or turned into a drone. Not to mention those white circles that turn people into drones. I was scared to death by those circles. And then there is the romantic relationship between Captain Troy Tempest and Marina. The theme song of Marina is probably one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I am sure people who did not grow up with these Supermarionation TV programs will get a good laugh out of these Youtube clips.
“Joe 90″ is about a kid who can turn into a doctor, rocket scientist, or any professional with a computer that installs all the necessary knowledge into him in minutes, so that he can go around doing some spy or rescue missions. That is the kind of computer we need!
Stingray is the name of a submarine that is traveling around the world and fighting with creatures and races under the sea. Marina is like a mermaid who cannot speak.
The opening of Stingray with loud music and a lot of explosion!
Theme song of Marina. Captain Troy Tempest is totally smitten with Marina.
“Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons” is about aliens invade the earth. Captain Scarlet is one of my heros.
The opening of the series. A very good summary of the story.
What a nice song on Captain Scarlet and the mysterons.

Thanks for making this available!
