A striking moment of Brahms
I have the habit of having my computer playing the classical music radio station while doing my work. Most of the time, I only listen to the music mindlessly. But occasionally, the music from the radio station gives me a jolt. Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture is one of the “jolting” moments. It brings back memory certainly. But I also wonder why we were never told the origin of the familiar song when we were in elementary school? It starts at around the 1:50 of the youtube clip.
